Detailed Program

Step 1 

Pick you up from your location in Bulgaria and traveling to the starting point of the tour – Durankulak.

Step 2

The second day of our tour along the Bulgarian coastline will begin with visiting the beach located on the Border between Bulgaria and Romania and the Durankulak lake and the archaeological site of “Big Island – Durankulak” known among specialists as the Bulgarian Troy. The remains of stone buildings found there are refer to the early Eneolithic (4750-4500 BC) and defined as the earliest stone architecture in Europe. On the same island inside the Durankulak lake was discovered the largest prehistoric cemetery in the world. After this journey through the past we’ll be willing to hit the clean, long and spacious strip of Krapets beach, where we will spend the rest of the day.

Step 3

Early in the morning after breakfast we’ll take the seaside road to the nearest village of Shabla and the picturesque Tyulenovo beach, famous with its high red rocks conditions for climbing. In the afternoon, on the way to the Rusalka beach we’ll pass through the national archaeological reserve “Yailata”, seaside terrace with an area of 300 acres (45.3 hectares), separated from the sea by 50-60 meters high cliffs. Here lies a cave “city” includes 101 “homes”, inhabited already in the V century BC and three necropolis (family tombs) of III – V century carved in the rocks. The rest of the third day of our tour around the Bulgarian seacoast we’ll spend laying on the Rusalka (mermaid) beach and the same name holiday village nearby.

Step 4

The next day we’ll begin with discovering the “beautiful cape” – the literal meaning “Kaliakra Cape” has and the Kaliakra fortress. The steppe type terrain abounds in vegetation and more than 360 bird species of which 160 are of European conservation concern. The first information about the population of the Kaliakra cape in Bulgaria is from the fourth century BC., when the region was inhabited by the Thracian tribes. Many legends are associated with this place and I am sure that not only the nature will impress you. The afternoon we’ll spend on the Bolata beach, enjoying the sun, then have dinner in the Mussel farm located on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.

Step 5

The next morning we’ll take care of our health and skin thanks to the healing mud located in the seaside lake Tuzlata. In medical practice the healing mud has been used since ancient times. It has proven medicinal properties against gynecological and skin diseases, diseases of the musculo-skeletal system, the spinal cord and others. After we are refilled with energy our tour around the Bulgarian sea coast will continue to the town of Balchik, where we’ll visit the Botanic garden and the Architectural park complex “Balchik Palace”. After that we can have dinner in the small sea restaurants scattered along the promenade of the town.

Step 6

Our multi-day tour around Bulgarian seaside will continue with visiting the small town of Kranevo and Golden Sands holiday resort, where we’ll have a short walk along the beautiful alleys. The rest of the day we’ll spend in the sea capital of Bulgaria and the biggest city on the Bulgarian sea coast – Varna. There we’ll have a city walk enjoying the highlights of the city – The Roman Baths – the largest Roman bath on the Balkan Peninsula, with area of 7000 square meters; the Ethnographic Museum, the Maritime Museum, the monumental Cathedral; the sea garden; the Dolphinarium and the numerous restaurants along the promenade of the city.

Step 7

On the next day of our tour along the sea coast we’ll pass through the small sea villages on the way to the Kara Dere beach. There you can enjoy a combination of forest and sea, to swim in the clean water and to totally relax. In the afternoon we’ll hit the road to the town of Obzor, located nearby. There we can have a walk, exploring the beautiful coastline and have dinner in some traditional restaurant.

Step 8

The 8th day of our tour around the Bulgarian seacoast will begin with visiting the incredible Irakli beach and the Emine Cape, which represents the eastern edge of the Balkan Mountains and divides the Bulgarian Black Sea coast to North and South. There we can spend the day exploring the beautiful nature before visiting the old coastal town listed in the UNESCO heritage list – Nessebar. The city was founded before more than 3200 years, and now can be found many buildings with architecture from different eras.

Step 9

On this day we’ll drive along the sea road on the way to Burgas. There we’ll have a city walk and free time to discover the city, the small hidden streets and the sea garden – favorite place for the locals. After we get tired of walking we’ll have lunch in some of the restaurants offering fresh seafood, then move even more South. Our next stop, and final for this day will be the town of Sozopol – cuty which has more than 7 thousand years of cultural tradition. In 2010 during archaeological excavations on the nearby island St. Ivan were discovered the relics of St. John the Baptist. Today the precious relic is kept in the church ” St. St. Cyril and Methodius ” in the city.

Step 10

The tenth day of our seaside tour will begin with breakfast and boat trip on through the Ropotamo river, which will take us to one of the wildest and most magical beaches along the Bulgarian sea coast. From there we’ll continue South, passing through the town of Primorsko on the way to the small sea village of Kiten where we’ll spend the night.

Step 11

On the last day of our journey we will visit the most South town in Bulgaria – Rezovo, located on the border between Bulgaria and Turkey. But first we’ll have few stops on the way one of which is the town of Ahtopol, a place with an ancient history. In the waters of the baypeople found many anchors witness of the life of the peninsula in different historical eras. Our next stop on this day is the Sinemorec beach and the Veleka river mouth. Then we’ll hit the road the the most South village on the Bulgarian sea coast and the border with Turkey.

Bulgarian coastline offers great conditions for different activities – surfing, diving, kayaking etc. If you know this and have decided to bring your own equipment, let me know in advance because I need to plan how to transport it on the way.
I can arrange everything along the way as rent an equipment, just let me know in advance
