IN the beginning of June dozens of manufacturers from the area of Kuystendil expose different varieties of cherries in the city center. In addition to certificates and signs with names and origin, everyone is trying to present the cherries in the most different and interesting arrangement.
Visitors can see works of art dedicated to the cherries – dolls, jewelry, sculptures, icons and other authentic pieces, skillfully crafted by Bulgarian artists.
In the diligent hands of Kyustendil chefs cherry is widely used – beautiful cakes, jams, alcohol and syrups from cherries adorn the competition tables. That’s rights, during the cherry festival you can try all this and to explore the cherry world.
